The Darbyshire Pottery Society was started by Tony Darbyshire in 2012, for people interested in Darbyshire Pottery, which was made in Western Australia from 1946-1956.

Tony was the son of Bill Darbyshire, who with Jean Darbyshire (nee Elliott/Shaw) founded Darbyshire Pottery.

Tony, my father, died in 2018 and the society is no longer happening, however I am continuing his passion by preserving his original newsletters and adding information (as I find it) for reference… This includes photos of the factory and the DP range. Feel free to contact me- Jo Darbyshire- jodarbyshire@gmail.com

I remember working as a teenager in the Darbyshire Pottery Factory created by my father Bill and my stepmother Jean. I thought it would be a shame to let those memories disappear. I have started this web site with the hope that past employees and interested collectors would comment on this page and keep the memories alive.” Tony Darbyshire 18 May 2012
